Recruiting: Ada's Richardson Commits To OSU

Colton Richardson, a 6-foot-4, 225-pound linebacker, made an unofficial visit to Oklahoma State last weekend to watch the Cowboys' game against Baylor. That trip to Stillwater must have left quite an impression on the Ada (Okla.) High School senior because a few days later he became Oklahoma State's sixth commitment in the Class of 2009.

"I talked to my mom about it and decided to commit to Oklahoma State," said Richardson, who had nine tackles and a touchdown catch for the Cougars in Friday night's game against Tulsa East Central.

"When I went up there I just felt like I was at home. I really liked the coaches and the way they treat the players, and really like the players too," said Richardson when contacted Saturday afternoon prior to the seventh-ranked Cowboys showdown with No. 1-ranked Texas.

"I also like the new facilities that they're getting. I'm looking forward to being one of the first players to get to use the new facilities," Richardson added.

Richardson had also been offered a scholarship by Tulsa.
