Recruiting: Lowe To Announce On Thursday

For four schools, the trick or the treat will come early when standout defensive back Daytawion Lowe of Midwest City (Carl Albert), Okla., make a decision on where he will play college football. The exceptionally talented Lowe is 6-1, 185 pounds with sprinter's speed, and said Sunday he is set to make an announcement regarding his college choice on Thursday.

This season he has eight receptions for 162 yards and a key touchdown in the win over playoff and district rival Guthrie while playing on offense. However, he is more widely known on defense, where he has 67 total tackles to lead the team and two interceptions despite having few balls throw his direction.

"I have four schools that I am thinking about -- Oklahoma State, Nebraska, Missouri, and Pittsburgh," said Lowe. "I'm working with (Carl Albert head) coach (Gary) Rose and I'm going to have something to announce on Thursday. That's my mom's birthday."

Lowe has been on an official visit to Nebraska and he has been to several games at Oklahoma State including, most recently, the Cowboys' homecoming win over Baylor.

"I like all the schools and the ones in the Big 12 are a little closer, so they are maybe a little higher on the list," said Lowe.

The announcement is expected to take place sometime around 11 a.m. to noon.
