Recruiting: Morgan Says He's Still OSU Bound

When standout offensive guard Anthony Morgan of Navarro (Texas Junior College laughed and said there was nothing to worry about when he was told that some Oklahoma State fans were concerned when it was learned that he had visited Miami on an official visit over the past weekend.

"Oh yes, I'm good with Oklahoma State," said the 6-4, 320-pound Morgan, who is originally out of Houston, Texas. "I just went on the visit down to Miami because I had never been out of Texas and I wanted to see a lot of stuff that I couldn't see in Texas. We hung out and went fishing and I saw South Beach and the beach life."

Morgan said he was impressed with some aspects of Miami, but others could not measure up to Oklahoma State.

"The football facilities, mainly. Their football facilities at Miami were not nearly as good as they are, and they are going to be, at Oklahoma State," said Morgan. "That's not to say the school wasn't nice. Miami has a nice campus and a nice school, but it's not as good in the football area."

Morgan has already made his official visit to Oklahoma State having done that early in the season. He is close to finishing up with his work at Navarro.

"I really don't have much going. I have some finals and I will be finished on Wednesday and then be ready to go home," he said. "I'm looking to sign on the 17th (of December) and then be at Oklahoma State next semester."

I have to admit that is the usual and best excuse to make a visit after you have made a verbal commitment, to see the beach.
