Recruiting: Bowie Likes Visit to OSU

"I don't know right now. I'm going to have to think about it," was the way offensive tackle Michael Bowie of Sand Springs (Charles Page), Okla., answered our question on what his recruiting status is after making an official visit to Oklahoma State this past weekend.

Bowie is a 6-4, 315-pound offensive tackle that is also pretty athletic and coming in this weekend he was committed verbally to Texas Tech after changing in November from a previous commitment to Kansas State. We spoke to Bowie early this evening after he had returned from his OSU visit to attend his Sand Springs football banquet.

"It went pretty good," said Bowie of the visit less than an hour from home. "I really liked it. I liked all the facilities and the coaching staff they are pretty cool.

"Coach (Joe) Wickline is pretty interesting," added Bowie with a chuckle. "It was just a good visit and I liked hanging out over there."

Bowie said he was hosted on his visit by offensive lineman Jonathan Rush of Killeen, Texas, and that the two of them got along well.

Bowie said he thought he was through taking visits, but that he is not through with his decision making process and he needs to think about it.

He'll have some time. Coaches will be out on the road this week, but recruiting goes quiet for 24 hours next Sunday and then goes into the holiday and bowl dead period.
