Recruiting: Randle To Visit Jan. 9

Hold on to your hats Oklahoma State Cowboys fans! We have confirmed that Louisiana super athlete Rueben Randle, one of the top prospects in the nation, will be visiting Oklahoma State on one of the biggest visit weekends of the recruiting season.

Randle's father told an Alabama web site that Randle would make just his second official visit to Oklahoma State on Jan. 9.vSources confirmed that Randle is indeed expected in Stillwater for an official visit.

Randle made his first official visit to Oklahoma during the season when he was in Norman on Nov. 21 for the Sooners' win over Texas Tech.

Now he will head to Stillwater on Jan. 9, and is scheduled to officially visit Alabama on Jan. 16. Randle was in Tuscaloosa to check out the Crimson Tide on an unofficial visit last week as they were preparing for their Sugar Bowl date with Utah.

Randle is 6-3, 195 pounds with 4.5 speed and successfully played quarterbacks this season for Bastrop, La.

However, he is projected as a wide receiver in college and played that position quite impressively as a junior with 55 receptions for 1,058-yards and 11 touchdowns. He earned first team All-State honors in Class 4A for his efforts. As a sophomore he had an incredible year as far as yards per catch with 14 receptions for 433 yards and seven touchdowns. That comes out to 30.9 yards per catch.

Randle has scholarship offers from all three teams he has visited or is scheduled to visit in Oklahoma, Oklahoma State and Alabama. He has long listed Miami as a favorite school and the Hurricanes have offered along with home state LSU, Florida State, Georgia, Mississippi, and Notre Dame.

Randle is a teammate of DeQuinta Jones, a defensive tackle that Oklahoma State is also interested in despite Jones being committed to Michigan.
