Recruiting: Logan Sets Visit With OSU

All-Greater Houston Area wide receiver Ja-Mes Logan is going to visit Oklahoma State. The 6-3, 185-pound Logan is a blazer (4.45 speed) out of Spring (Westfield), Texas that has been a popular prospect and is now serious about Oklahoma State, and Oklahoma State is serious about him.

"Yes, I am going to visit OSU on Jan. 16," said Logan. "They are looking at receivers and I'm one that they are looking at. I'm just the kind of receiver that they want in their offense."

Logan is the kind of receiver any school would want in its offense. He has height and speed, and proof that he can play.

Last season he made 40 catches for 793 yards and 12 touchdowns. His junior season he caught 16 balls for 283 yards and five touchdowns.

He gets it done both on and off the field, according to his high school coach, Corby Meekins, who says that Logan is a hard worker. The top 25 wide receiver according to Texas Football Magazine can bench press 285 pounds and squats 345 pounds with a 42-inch vertical jump. He has a 3.2 grade point average and scored 1350 on the SAT.

Logan visited Oregon on Dec. 12 and Missouri on Dec. 19. He was scheduled to visit Arizona on Jan. 16 and has a visit set to Mississippi on Jan. 23.

"Yes, I am going to OSU in place of Arizona," said the speedy prospect. "I have been to Oregon and to Missouri, and those schools have good standing with me. They treated me really good on my visit."

Logan moved to Spring four years ago from Natchez, Miss., which seemingly would make that last visit to Mississippi a likely favorite going in.

"I grew up an LSU fan, and you can print that," said Logan with a chuckle.

Logan is a very smart and is obviously a gifted wide receiver with four really strong schools look to be vying for his allegiance . This will be an interesting recruiting situation to follow in January.
