Hoops Recruiting: Texans Heading To OSU

Oklahoma State opens Big 12 Conference play Saturday night against Texas A&M but the Aggies of head coach Mark Turgeon won't be the only ones making the trip north to Stillwater. A number of Texas high school prospects, including two future Cowboys, will be in attendance for Saturday night's game. Only GoPokes.com gives you the insight on which recruits will be inside Gallagher-Iba Arena.

Roger Franklin and Reger Dowell, a pair of Duncanville (Texas) High School standouts who signed with Oklahoma State during the early signing period in November, have been confirmed as making the drive north on Interstate 35 through Oklahoma City to Stillwater.

But they won't be the only Duncanville Panthers making the trip to Stillwater on unofficial visits after head coach Phil McNeely dismisses his team following a 10 o'clock Saturday morning practice.

A pair of Duncanville juniors – forward Julian Washburn and point guard Jamison Sterns – also will be attending the OSU-Texas A&M game. The 6-foot-7, 190-pound Washburn, the son of former NBA player and North Carolina State standout Chris Washburn, is ranked as the 66th best overall prospect in the Class of 2010. The 6-foot Sterns is ranked as one of the top point guards in the state of Texas.

Also, Chris Washburn, the younger brother of Julian, will accompany the group of Duncanville players to Stillwater. He is a freshman at Duncanville.

Those five players aren't the only ones making the drive to Stillwater on Saturday. John Bohannon is a 6-8, 185-pound junior forward from Lancaster, Texas, and three other top freshmen in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex will take in the game.

Those three from the Class of 2012 are Isiah Austin, a 6-11 post player from Mansfield (Legacy), Texas; Nick Banyard, a 6-6, 215-pound wing from Arlington (Martin), Texas, and Ricky Roberts, a 6-1 point guard from Mansfield (Legacy).
