Recruiting: Charlie Moore Loves His Visit

Charlie Moore, who visited the Oklahoma State bowl practices before Christmas and made his decision to switch his commitment from Louisiana-Monroe to OSU, made his official visit to Stillwater this weekend and nothing changed his mind. In fact, the Bullard, Texas athlete said he is solidified and ready to sign on Feb.4th.

"Yes sir, I am done with recruiting," said the 6-3, 190-pound Moore that plays four sports at Bullard. "We just back in town two hours ago. I have a basketball game tomorrow night and then we start district in basketball on Friday."

In football this past season Moore earned all kinds of honors by rushing for 1,150 yards and 19 touchdowns and passing for 1,950 yards and 20 touchdowns. On defense he had 75 total tackles and picked off two passes and had two fumble recoveries.

Moore said he has been told he will be used as a slot receiver.

As for his visit this weekend to Stillwater, Moore had this to say. "It went good, lots of fun, really good," said Moore. "I had a chance to meet and talk to all the different coaches.

"It was the coaches that showed me around. Coach (Robert) Matthews was great. We went to the basketball game and that was great. I got to see the activities center (Academic Center) and the dorms, which I didn't get to see last time. That was pretty cool."

The last time we spoke with Moore, he was on his way to the Texas hill country for some hunting. That went well too.
"Oh, yes sir, that did go well," said Moore of his pre-Christmas hunting trip. "I got two eight-pointers (bucks) and I shot two pigs (wild boar)."

You get the feeling that Moore is going to be a lot of fun.
