Recruiting: Pratt Situation Is Wait & See

Standout running back/linebacker Dexter Pratt of Navasota, Texas, did visit Oklahoma State this weekend. There are a lot of unknowns right now with Pratt, but he is a mid-term graduate and waiting to enroll in a school for the spring. He had been committed to LSU but something happened there that changed that relationship and now Oklahoma State looks like they could be Pratt's destination.

We spoke with his high school head coach Lee Fedora, who said there really wasn't anything he could add and that he too was waiting on the situation to clear up.

There have been all kinds of rumors about why Pratt is no longer going to LSU and where he will end up and why. It does no good for us to add to all of the reports and rumors that are unsubstantiated.

Coach Fedora told us he would let us know when there was something to know. He also told us that all of the rumors and reports have been disturbing to Pratt and his family and he is eager for those to be completely cleared up. Coach Lee Fedora is the brother of former OSU offensive coordinator and current Southern Miss head coach Larry Fedora.

Pratt is a 6-2, 220-pound standout that is very good academically and is looking forward to getting into the college classroom and on the college field.

This past season Pratt rushed for 1,353 yards and 19 touchdowns on 180 carries as the highly regarded running back showed that his talent was ready for the collegiate level. As a junior he gained 2,054 yards and scored 20 touchdowns.

The expectation is that something will be known soon.
