Recruiting: Miller Says 'OSU Ranks Good'

Over the weekend Oklahoma State gained a commitment from one cornerback but the Cowboys are looking for yet another, and they apparently made progress with Pat Miller out of Birmingham (Hoover), Ala. The 5-11, 170-pound Miller is being recruited by OSU assistant and former Bama defensive back Jason Jones.

Miller and his family used the three-day holiday this weekend with Martin Luther King Day on Monday to see the country and drove to Stillwater for his official visit.

"Yes, we drove and we're driving home right now," said Miller from the car on Sunday evening adding that his dad was driving at the time. "I liked it (the visit) a lot. I really liked all the new facilities and Markelle Martin showed me around and he was good. The food was good. It was all good, and OSU rates real good with me. They've got a chance."

Miller said that when he said OSU really rates good with him that means he is considering the Cowboys, but he has some more visits to take. He said it was not his first time to Oklahoma as Hoover played Tulsa Union a couple of years ago and he was there for that. This season he had 80 tackles, one sack, and six interceptions for the state runners-up.

"It's not a big deal for me to go out of state," said Miller, adding that his parents both liked what they saw at Oklahoma State.

Miller has already visited Kentucky in December and now has two more visits set up. He goes to West Virginia next week and then is scheduled to close his visits with Mississippi State on Jan. 30. Both the Mountaineers and Bulldogs have already offered Miller as have the Cowboys and Kentucky.
