Recruiting: Koenig Picks Up Two More Offers

Bob and Cindy Koenig could become all-time Oklahoma State football parents ranking up there with the Woods family by having three sons play at Oklahoma State. Already Doug and David have played for the Cowboys and now youngest son Daniel has been offered. Like his older two brothers, Daniel is an offensive lineman.

Daniel Koenig is already 6-6, 260 pounds in the spring of his junior year in high school. That size and his athletic talent combined have caused others to offer scholarships as well. Central Florida, Southern Miss, Marshall, Wake Forest, and Duke had offered previously and now this week add Alabama and Tennessee to the list.

Koenig told us that he has also heard from Florida, Florida State, LSU, and West Virginia.

Just an update with Koenig, who has hinted that Oklahoma State and familiarity for him and his family is an advantage. If he had to decide today the Cowboys would likely get the nod, but he has said he wants to go see the schools. He also wants to go have his recruiting experience at Oklahoma State.

"I'm fine with it," said Koenig of Oklahoma State and the Cowboys' offer. "I like the offensive line coach (Joe Wickline), my parents like him and Oklahoma State and the facilities and the campus. Yes, I think it helps."
