Recruiting: Bronson Irwin Gets OSU Offer

Judging by what we saw in Heritage Hall about 30 minutes before Saturday's basketball game, Junior Day was a tremendous success. We estimated around 50 to 60 prospects along with many more family members were milling around waiting to go watch the hoops game. It appeared that the gathering was strong on linemen and one Oklahoma standout reported that he received an offer from the Cowboys.

Bronson Irwin, a 6-5, 315 pound offensive tackle from Mustang, Okla., was offered a scholarship by the Cowboys. It is his 11th offer which also includes offers from the likes of Oklahoma, Arkansas, Arizona, Alabama, Missouri, and Oregon.

"That is number 11 overall," said Irwin, a second team All-State honoree as a junior. "It is a little overwhelming, kind of unreal. I am trying to take it has it comes.

"Today (at OSU) went really well, really well," continued Irwin. "We met with Coach (Joe) Wickline as a group and then we got to tour the west end zone. It is not complete but you can tell by the facilities, even though they aren't finished, that it is going to be really, really nice. The players that were here on the offensive line were a really good looking group. They all looked like good players."

Irwin said he will consider the Cowboys as he will the majority of the schools on his list as he continues to go through recruiting

We were able to walk around among the prospects in on Junior Day which allowed us to confirm some of the players on the list we have worked on this week. It also allowed us to spot some players that we did not have on our list. Belows is the list we have come up with so far. We realize it is not a complete list but it's the best we can do.
