Q&A With Andre Sexton

GoPokes.com took a few minutes during OSU Media Day to ask a few light-hearted questions of several Cowboy players. Here's what they had to say.

What's the best thing about playing football at Oklahoma State?
Sexton: I think it would be the great fanbase. They support us when we're at home and we see such a great turnout wherever we got, especially at the bowl games. It's just amazing.

Which teammates would you want in a foxhole with you? Why?
Sexton: Russell Okung just because he's a big guy and I could probably hide behind him. Deron Fontenot because he's got a great sense of humor and when things get tough and rough he would definitely keep you laughing. Probably Zac (Robinson) because he seems like a schemer, and he could probably scheme a plan that made sure we won and I got out of there alive.

If you were putting a together a basketball team from your teammates, which four would you select to join you on the team?
Sexton: Ugo Chinasa, Dez Bryant, Perrish Cox and probably James Thomas.

Who would play Coach Gundy in a movie?
Sexton: (starts laughing) Aw man .... I see him being played by Matthew McConaughey. I'm thinking looks wise, and he's a great actor, so he could pull it off. And he was a coach in that one movie about the football team -- Marshall.

Who would you trade places with for one day? Why?
Sexton: Will Smith or Michael Jordan. Will Smith is a very talented person and very successful in everything he does, and he has a beautiful wife. Just getting to walk in Michael Jordan's shoes for one day and experience everything he does for one day, and getting all the love for what he's done in the past.

What are your expectations for the 2009 OSU football team?
Sexton: If we play up to our full capabilities every game this year then I don't think we should expect anything short of a Big 12 South championship because we have the talent. In the games we lost last year we were so close. We just have to learn how to close out the deal. If we play up to our potential, the stage is there.

How would you describe the new football locker room?
Sexton: Nothing can touch it, not even NFL locker rooms. It's the nicest facility you can think of. It's like a home away from home. The TVs, the lounges, the spacious areas ... everything they put in there is perfect.
