Left tackle Russell Okung joined the trio of Hunter, Bryant and Cox on the magazine's first-team all-Big 12 squad and was also tabbed as the Big 12's top quarterback protector.
Pickens will tour the new locker room, training room, and strength and conditioning center with OSU administrators and in front of media lenses. He will then hold a news conference in the new team meeting room/theater. OSU Vice President for Intercollegiate Athletics Mike Holder has stressed that the new facilities need to be especially cared for. We checked, the message is getting through.
"It is real nice and we are trying to take care of it," said tight end Jamal Mosley. "They (coaches) keep threatening us every day, 'keep that locker room clean, keep that locker room picked up or your going to run.' We've been trying to keep our nice locker room really clean."
Another area that is a major upgrade is the training table, where not only the ambiance is improved but so is the food, according to Mosley.
"It is better because we have more options," said Mosley. "I'm not complaining about the last training table, but we've got a lot of great food in there."
What's the best thing they've had? "Steak, ribeye steak," said Mosley and fellow tight end Wilson Youman in unison.
