Recruiting: Maselera Takes In OSU-Georgia

This is not the earliest that we've ever written up a junior but it is early. However, get ready for a lot of it as Oklahoma State is closing in on being full in its 010 recruiting class. Now, like a lot of higher regarded college football programs, they will be working ahead. Isaac Maselera of Glenpool is a defensive back prospect that is going to be near the top of the 2011 class in Oklahoma.

Fresh off Glenpool's 26-7 win over Berryhill on Friday night, Maselera was in Stillwater on Saturday to watch Oklahoma State beat Georgia 24-10.

"Man, it was nice," said the 6-0, 185-pound defender. "The atmosphere with all the students and the fans was great. It was a great place to be for a game. The new facilities were amazing. I was really impressed with everything."

Maselera, who also plays running back, had eight tackles and a pass broken up in Glenpool's first game. This week the Warriors jump up to take on 5A power Bixby. Maselera is 6-0, 185 pounds and says his best forty is in the 4.4 range. He has a 36-inch vertical jump, bench presses 290 pounds, and can squat 455 pounds.

"I've been getting letters mostly from Oklahoma State, TCU and Missouri Southern," said the junior. "Oklahoma State is my school, and yes, I'm glad they've already sent me letters and had me over to a game."

Keep an eye on Maselera, who also runs track for Glenpool, as he is expected to be one of the better and more athletic prospects in the Oklahoma class of 2011.
