Recruiting: Littlehead Enjoys Win Over Rice

Defensive tackle/offensive lineman Chris Littlehead of Tahlequah (Sequoyah), Okla., enjoyed an unofficial trip to the school he has pledged to for the future, Oklahoma State. Littlehead enjoyed the Cowboys' 41-24 win over Rice on Saturday night in Stillwater with his parents and his sister also in attendance.

"I enjoyed it," said Littlehead. "It was great, great atmosphere and they won. After the game I had a chance to talk to the coaches. I talked to most of them. I talked to Coach (Bill) Young and to Coach (Mike) Gundy. It was great to be there."

The 6-4, 300-pound Littlehead is having a good season. Tahlequah Sequoyah is off to a 3-0 start including a 54-6 win over Victory Christian on Friday night.

"The season is going good. We are 3-0," said Littlehead obviously happy. "We get Vian next week and get started with district. I'm playing pretty good and I'm going both ways. I'm on the field a lot, but that is the way I want it. I'd have to say my best game so far would be Victory Christian."

Littlehead did not say what his stats were in the Friday win but he likely more than doubled his total from the first two games. In two games he had seven tackles and a sack, good number for a defensive tackle.

Littlehead did not say when he plans to get back to Stillwater, although he hopes soon for another game. As for his official recruiting visit, he said he would take that after his high school season concludes, which if they keep playing the way they are could be awhile.
