Washington (Tulsa, Okla.) HS Hornets
The Hornets scored a school record 90 points, breaking the previous record of 77 set in 2005, in Friday night's 90-0 victory over Miami.

Smithson Valley improves to 4-2 with Friday night's 21-7 victory over San Antonio MarArthur.

Charles Page (Sand Springs, Okla.), HS Sandites
Deaton has spent the last several weeks on the sideline helping coach his replacement at quarterback after suffering a broken collarbone in the season opener on Sept. 4. Sand Springs suffered a 45-14 loss to Bartlesville on Friday night.

The Raiders, 0-4, have a week to regroup before getting back in action against Mesquite on Friday, Oct. 9.

JUSTIN GILBERT, WR (6-0, 178)
Huntsville (Texas) HS Hornets
Gilbert had an 85-yard kickoff return for a touchdown and caught a 41-yard pass to set up a 4-yard touchdown run but Huntsville had too many turnovers in losing 30-14 to Brenham on Friday night. Gilbert finished with two catches for 60 yards.

Derby got back on track after last week's loss to No. 1-ranked Hutchinson with a 28-7 victory over Maize on Friday night.

Rowlett suffered a 9-0 loss to North Garland on Friday night.

Cypress Ridge (Houston) HS Rams
Johnson scored on a 2-yard run in the fourth quarter but Cy Ridge fell to undefeated Cy Creek 17-12 on Saturday.

Lavey and the Bobcats, 3-2, have a week to get rested up before facing Sanger on Friday, Oct. 9.

Hightower (Fort Bend, Texas) HS Hurricanes
The Hurricanes allowed an 80-yard touchdown pass on the first play of the game but did not allow much else as Hightower improved to 5-0 with a 28-7 victory over Fort Bend Travis on Saturday.

Sequoyah (Tahlequah, Okla.) HS Indians
Littlehead and the Indians improved to 5-0 with Friday night's 44-28 victory over Keys.

STEPHEN MAEWEATHER, LB (6-0, 205)
Sharpstown (Houston) HS Apollos
Sharpstown scored 27 points in the first quarter and made it stand up for a 27-13 victory over Houston Westbury on Friday night. The Apollos are now 3-3 overall and 2-0 in District 21-4A play after beginning the season 0-3.

Bowie (Arlington, Texas) HS Volunteers
The Volunteers, 4-1, are idle this week and return to action Friday, Oct. 9, against Mansfield.

Bellaire captured a 69-0 win over Houston Austin on Saturday.

Rock Bridge, 3-3, suffered a 35-14 loss to Helias, the second-ranked Class 4 team in the state, on Saturday.
