Future Cowboys: This Week's Results

Each week throughout the season GoPokes.com will track the progress of the 24 high school football players who have verbally committed to sign with Oklahoma State next February. Here are the results from this week's games.

GERRON ANTHONY, OL (6-4, 290)
John Tyler (Tyler, Texas) HS Lions
The Lions rolled up 314 rushing yards en route to capturing a 41-40 victory over DeSoto to earn a share of the District 11-5A title, the school's first in 11 years.

CALVIN BARNETT, DT (6-3, 305)
Washington (Tulsa, Okla.) HS Hornets
The Hornets closed out their scandal-ridden season Thursday night with a 10-2 victory over Bixby. They won eight of the 10 games they played during the regular season but finish with a 5-5 record after being forced to forfeit three games after using ineligible players in those games. The forfeits caused the defending Class 5A state champions to miss the playoffs.

KRIS CATLIN, LB (6-2, 210)
Madison (San Antonio) HS Mavericks
Madison turned the ball over four times and it cost them as San Antonio Reagan captured a 30-21 victory on Friday night.

LAVOCHEYA COOPER, S (6-1, 185)
Arp (Texas) HS Tigers
The No. 1-ranked Arp Tigers wrapped up a perfect 10-0 regular season with Friday night's 21-14 victory over West Rusk.

ZACK CRAIG, DB (6-2, 155)
Smithson Valley (Texas) HS Rangers
Smithson Valley suffered a 24-20 loss to Roosevelt on Friday night, and then saw its hopes of earning a playoff berth slip away when New Braunfels defeated MacArthur. Smithson Valley finishes the season 6-4.

JOHNNY DEATON, QB (6-2, 190)
Charles Page (Sand Springs, Okla.), HS Sandites
Playing in his final high school game, Deaton completed 11 of 30 passes for 146 yards and a touchdown but was intercepted four times as No. 1-ranked Jenks defeated Sand Springs 56-21 on Friday night. Deaton now begins focusing on graduating from high school next month, enrolliong at Oklahoma State in January for the spring semester, and participating in spring practice next April.

CHRIS DINKINS, S (6-4, 290)
Lee (Tyler, Texas) HS Red Raiders
Dinkins' 10-yard touchdown catch helped the Raiders to a 24-3 victory over North Mesquite on Friday night, and a share of the District 11-5A title.

JUSTIN GILBERT, WR (6-0, 178)
Huntsville (Texas) HS Hornets
Gilbert scored two touchdowns, one on a 35-yard run in the first quarter and another on a 63-yard punt return in the third quarter, as the Hornets defeated Willis 23-7 on Friday night for their five consecutive victory.

DEVIN HEDGEPETH, CB (6-0, 190)
Derby (Kan.) HS Panthers
Hedgepeth caught seven passes for 58 yards, including a two-yard touchdown reception for the game's first score, as Derby defeated Wichita Northwest 24-14 Friday night in a Class 5A first-round playoff game. The Panthers improve to 7-3 and await the winner of Saturday's Topeka-Dodge City first-round game.

Rowlett (Texas) HS Eagles
Rowlett defeated Garland Sachse 31-28 on Friday night to secure a spot in the playoffs.

JACOB JENKINS, OL (6-3, 260) Gilmer (Texas) HS Buckeyes
Gilmer won its nine consecutive undefeated district championship by defeating Tatum 39-20 on Friday night.

KEVIN JOHNSON, WR (6-2, 200)
Cypress Ridge (Houston) HS Rams
Johnson rushed for 134 yards and two touchdowns on just 13 carries in leading Cy Ridge to a 45-16 victory over Houston Langham Creek on Friday night. Johnson scored touchdowns on runs of 50 and 22 yards to lead the Rams, 6-4 overall and 5-2 in District 15-5A play.

DAN KOENIG, OL (6-6, 260)
Cape Coral (Fla.) HS Seahawks
Cape Coral defeated Ida Baker 25-0 on Friday night to clinch the District 4A-12 title, the school's first since 1993. The Seahawks, 9-0, secured a home playoff berth with one game remaining in the regular season.

CALEB LAVEY, LB (6-3, 210)
Celina (Texas) HS Bobcats
Lavey led the Bobcats defense with 10 tackles, including a fourth-down stop inside the 10-yard line, but it wasn't enough as Argyle defeated Celina 29-14 on Friday night.

SHAUN LEWIS, LB (6-1, 207)
Hightower (Fort Bend, Texas) HS Hurricanes
Hightower, 9-0, will be trying to put the finishing touches on a perfect regular season with Saturday's game against Fort Bend Willowridge.

CHRIS LITTLEHEAD, DT (6-3, 305)
Sequoyah (Tahlequah, Okla.) HS Indians
The Indians improved to 10-0 and prepped for the playoffs with a 35-7 victory over Colcord on Friday night.

STEPHEN MAEWEATHER, LB (6-0, 205)
Sharpstown (Houston) HS Apollos
Sharpstown defeated Houston Reagan 31-0 on Friday night to close out the regular season.

MONTRA NELSON, WR (6-3, 215)
Bowie (Arlington, Texas) HS Volunteers
Nelson had just two catches but they both went for touchdowns – a 60-yarder and a 49-yarder – as Arlington Bowie defeated Mansfield Summit 62-20 on Thursday night to clinch a share of the District 4-5A title. The Vols are now 8-2 entering their first-round playoff game next Friday.

Bellaire (Houston) HS Cardinals
Bellaire, 3-7, saw its season come to a close Friday night with a 35-32 loss to Houston St. Pius X.

JOSEPH RANDLE, RB (6-1, 200)
Wichita (Southeast) HS Golden Buffaloes
Randle finished his senior season with 1,107 rushing yards and 12 touchdowns as the Golden Buffaloes closed out the regular season with a 4-5 record.

Madison (San Antonio) HS Mavericks

Sorenson and the Tigers rolled to a 41-0 victory over Pine Tree in Friday night's regular season finale, and will take a 6-3 record into the playoffs beginning Friday, Nov. 13.

North Shore (Galena Park, Texas) HS Mustangs
North Shore saw its nine-year run of district championships come to an end with Friday night's 35-28 loss to West Brook.

Bowie (Arlington, Texas) HS Volunteers

Plano West (Plano, Texas) HS Wolves
Plano West lost 50-21 to Wylie on Friday night. The Wolves, 5-5, have the final week of the regular season off before beginning play in the playoffs on Friday, Nov. 13.

ISAAC MASELERA, S (6-0, 190)
Glenpool (Okla.) Warriors
The No. 1-ranked Class 4A Warriors were upset by Oklahoma City Star Spencer 34-20 on Friday night. The Warriors, 9-1, had already clinched a playoff berth, and open the postseason with a home game against Oklahoma City Douglass, 7-3.
