Six Cowboys To Receive NFL Combine Invites

Go and Go Pokes Magazine has learned the Oklahoma State will send a record six players out of the Cowboys program to this year's NFL Scouting Combine at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Ind. The Combine will be held from Feb. 24-March 2.

The invitation list has not been released yet but we learned that four offensive player for the Cowboys and two defenders from this season's 9-4 Cotton Bowl team will be on that invitation list.

Zac Robinson, Keith Toston, Russell Okung, Dez Bryant, Perrish Cox, and Lucien Antoine will all be invited to the event.

Both of the Cowboys that are currently participating in the Senior Bowl will be invited. Zac Robinson has had his ups and downs at the Senior Bowl in Mobile, Ala., as he had a strong day on Tuesday followed by a rough day Wednesday in which OSU teammate Perrish Cox picked off two of his passes in practice.

Robinson, who dealt with injuries and a drop off in talent on offense during the season, has shown good arm strength and accuracy at times during the practices. He has also been the best South quarterback under center versus the shotgun. During the regular season Robinson completed 167 of 270 passes for 1,966 yards with 15 touchdowns and eight interceptions. He holds most of the OSU passing and total offense records.

He will be joined by running back Keith Toston, who rushed for 1,177 yards on 217 carries during the regular season earning All-Big 12 honors. Toston played in the East-West Shrine Game last weekend and rushed for nine yards on four carries.

Unanamous All-American offensive tackle Russell Okung, expected to be a first-round pick early in the NFL Draft, is perhaps the Cowboys top invitee. Okung has not played in the all-star games and appears to be working to be completely healthy for the combine after a slight knee injury bothered him the last half of what was a stellar season.

NCAA-suspended Cowboy junior wide receiver Dez Bryant only played in three games this season before his brilliant OSU career ended once he was suspended for lying about a meeting with former NFL player Deion Sanders, an associate for Bryant's agent Eugene Parker. Bryant caught 17 passes for 323 yards this season including two spectacular touchdown passes in the opening season win over Georgia.

Perrish Cox, who was suspended from playing in the Cotton Bowl for missing curfew for the second time during the week of the bowl game, is showing up well at the Senior Bowl. Cox had a strong season with a punt return for touchdown to go along with four interceptions and 36 tackles.

Antoine, a native of Haiti, is a big hitter who had 62 tackles this season and an interception returned for a touchdown versus Missouri.
