Recruiting: Has Dixon Made His Decision?

Terry Gambill is the new head coach at Midway High School in Waco, Texas, taking over at Midway for the retired Kent Bechtel on Monday after coming from powerhouse Allen High School where he was assistant head coach and defensive coordinator. Gambill never coached Midway All-American safety Ahmad Dixon but he probably wishes he had.

Gambill did tell us that Dixon has a signing ceremony scheduled for Wednesday at the school, and that just before we called Dixon told the new Midway head coach that he was committed to and going to sign with Baylor.

The 6-1, 198-pound Dixon has been committed previously to Tennessee and Texas before committing to Baylor. He visited Oklahoma State this past weekend, the final weekend for visits before singing day on Wednesday.

The last 48 hours there has been almost zero news on Dixon and what he might be thinking before signing day. We won't be surprised with what might happen at Midway when Dixon signs tomorrow, but according to Gambill it will be a Baylor celebration.
