Recruiting: Osborn To Attend Junior Day

Offensive tackle Kyle Osborn of Tuttle, Okla., has already heard from four different Big 12 school but Oklahoma State is the one he is most familiar with. Now OU may have had a Hesiman Trophy-winning quarterback from Tuttle in Jason White but since then two Tigers in tight end/defensive end Cooper Bassett and most recently kicking specialist Bobby Stonebreaker have gone to Oklahoma State.

"Yes sir, I've heard from Oklahoma State, and I know their junior day is this Sunday and I will be there," said the 6-4, 295-pound Osborn, who earned second team All-Little City honors this past season and is almost a shoe-in for All-State honors next season provided he stays healthy.

"I've been up there before but Oklahoma State is a good school and I am really interested in them."

Osborn, who also competes in powerlifting and will again throw the shot put and discus for the Tuttle track team this spring, said recruiting is going well.

"It is all pretty neat and I'm just about in awe of everything that is happening," added the enthusiastic offensive tackle. "I've heard from Texas Tech and I think I will probably go to their junior day.

"Kansas State and Iowa State came by the school last month and talked to me. I'm not going to go to their junior days, but I am looking at going to camps at those schools. It is awesome to have heard from four Big 12 schools."

Interestingly, Osborn has not heard from Tulsa and he did not mention Oklahoma either. He did tell us that he has a 340-pound bench press and his squat max is 415 pounds.

What makes him really special is his feet and his agility as he confirmed he still clocks in at 5.2 seconds in the forty with a 295-pound frame.
