Recruiting: Glidden Receives OSU Offer

One of the most excited players leaving Oklahoma State's Junior Day Sunday afternoon was wide receiver David Glidden of Mustang, Okla. The Bronchos spread offense receiving leader had 61 receptions for 1,046 yards and 12 touchdowns as a juiorn, and now he has something else.

"Well it went better today than I could have ever expected," said Glidden. "I received an offer from Oklahoma State and I really wasn't expecting that. That was the greatest thing that could happen.

"I really felt at home the entire time I was there and I got to talk to players that are already committed to Oklahoma State and I also spent a lot of time with the coaches. I talked to Coach Gunter Brewer and Coach Doug Meacham and to Coach (Dana) Holgorsen and then I got to go talk with Coach (Mike) Gundy in his office. That was really exciting."

The 6-0, 185-pound Glidden plays in a very similar spread offense at Mustang for head coach Ty Prestidge and he is a speedster with a legit 4.41 clocking in the forty.

Glidden is also a man of all seasons as he is playing point guard for Mustang right now as they get ready for regional playoffs this Friday at Putnam City West against Choctaw. "From there I go to baseball," said Glidden, who plays centerfield on the diamond.

It seems that Glidden is also a Oklahoma State Cowboys fan. He is also being recruited by Texas Tech, Arizona, and Tulsa so far. "Those are the top four for now but I have always been an Oklahoma State fan," he said.

"I grew up a Cowboy and went to their games. Everybody in my family are OSU Cowboy fans. This is a dream come true," he said. "i'm going to think it through but this really is a dream come true for me to have the chance to go to school and play at Oklahoma State. I have to tell you I love it up there. I love the feeling."

We will stay on top of Glidden as he talks like a person that may not stay in the recruiting game much longer. Taking him at his word, his top school made him an offer at Junior Day.
