Recruiting: Dismuke Makes OSU Junior Day

First Team All-State offensive lineman Dylan Dismuke out of Duncan was another standout that attended Oklahoma State's first Junior Day for the 2011 class this past weekend. Dismuke is 6-7, 300-plus pounds and he was joined by fellow Demons offensive lineman Dylan Laurens, who we spoke with last week.

"It went all right," said Dismuke of his trip to Stillwater. "Actually, it went pretty well. There were so many people (players and family) there that we were moved around in groups most of the time and I didn't get as much time to speak personally with coaches. I did talk a lot with the recruiting coordinator (Johnny Barr). The facilities are really nice and I knew that going up there."

Dismuke, a first team All-State selection by The Tulsa World, said he has four offers already and has heard from a bunch of schools.

"Yes sir, Arkansas, Tulsa, Texas Tech, and Arizona have all offered scholarships so far," he said.

Last season Dismuke was a major reason that Duncan improved to an 8-3 record and qualified for the Class 5A playoffs after being on the sidelines in the 2008 season. In addition to his play on the offensive side he doubled some on defense and posted 33 tackles. a sack, and a fumble recovery.

He is currently a starter on the Duncan basketball team which is a good sign for his footwork and athleticism. Oklahoma City area fans can see him later this week in regional action at Western Heights High School where the Demons will open with Capitol Hill.

He told us that he grew up as "kind of" an OU fan but not serious enough that it would be a factor where he decides to play and attend college. He has been to one of Oklahoma's Junior Days.

"It went pretty well and I got to ride around in a golf cart with my position coach," he said of the OU experience. "He showed a lot of interest."

Dismuke said he wants to take his time and wants to carefully check out schools and campuses before he makes a decision.
