Recruiting: Who Was At The Spring Scrimmage?

Oklahoma State staged a very successful Orange-White spring scrimmage on Saturday but beyond debuting the new offense and virtually a new line-up on the defense, the coaching staff entertained a wide variety of recruits including several 2010 signees that will join the program this summer and most of the commitments for the Class of 2011.

The list of visitors Saturday also included several top prospects for the 2011 class that have not committed to OSU or any other school and were shopping as many recruits are doing this time of year.

"Our coaches are going out on the road starting tomorrow and will be out much of the next two weeks evaluating and recruiting," said head coach Mike Gundy.

"They will take a week off and then go back out for two more weeks. We are in the middle of recruiting as we have had several prospects come in and visit our campus and there will be more visit this spring and through the summer. It never stops. Recruiting goes on all the time," Gundy continued.

As part of Saturday's Cowboy Orange Blitz, the prospects arrived at 1 p.m. and went through a welcome in the team theatre in the west end zone. They heard from Dr. Marilyn Middlebrook on academics, toured the football facilities, toured the campus, and attended position meetings with the coaching staff.

As the Orange-White scrimmage neared they gathered for a question-and-answer session with head coach Mike Gundy, attended the pregame meal at the training table, and were on the field for warm-ups before the game.

We did our best to try and keep up with as many of the recruits as attended on the day. We divided them into three categories with current signees, 2011 verbal commitments, and 2011 prospects.
