Oklahoma State's basketball program signed five players in the Class 0f 2010 which left them two over the NCAA-allowed 13 scholarships. Cowboy fans have been wondering for months how the situation would rectify itself, and it's beginning to come into focus as Friday it was announced that freshman Torin Walker has left the program.
The 6-foot-11 Walker requested and was granted a release from his scholarship, according to the Tulsa World.
Walker played in just 10 games as a freshman last season, and scored two points and five rebounds in 27 minutes of action.
Walker's departure still means that the Cowboys are one player over the scholarship limit, if each of the newcomers qualify academically.
