Recruiting: Dismuke Action Heating Up

Dylan Dismuke is one of if not the very best offensive line prospect in Oklahoma. But despite that the in-state Big 12 schools had kind of slow played the 6-6, 292-offensive tackle prospect out of Duncan, Okla., so far. That has now changed with at least one school throwing down an offer.

"Yes sir, Oklahoma has offered. They came down the other day and Coach Patton offered," explained Dismuke.

"Ole Miss offered today, at least that is what I was told. Coach (Joe) Wickline of Oklahoma State was here today. I heard that they had a problem with one of their recruits (actually it is the departure of running back Dexter Pratt at the end of spring) and they had a spot open up and that they were going to offer it to me. They are talking about coming after me and were watching me practice. I heard they were going to call me later."

Dismuke previously had offers from Arizona, Arkansas, Baylor, Missouri, Oregon State, and Texas Tech among others.

The big offensive lineman did attend junior days at both OU and Oklahoma State. He had previously told us that he grew up an OU fan. He did say that they weren't putting the heat on him.

"I was kind of surprised about that. Yes, they were leaving it up to me," he said. "If I can, I want to hold out and make a decision a few days before the start of football, sometime around Aug. 1."

Dismuke reported that he and his Duncan Demon teammates are into spring football and are going through practice in full pads in the afternoon this week.
