OSU to face Alabama in All-College Classic

Oklahoma State will face Alabama of the Southeastern Conference in the 75th annual All-College Basketball Classic on Dec. 18 at the Ford Center in Oklahoma City.

The Cowboys finished the 2009-10 season with a 22-11 record, advancing to the NCAA Tournament for the second time in Travis Ford's two years as head coach. Alabama was 17-15 last season.

"We are excited about playing Alabama in the 75th anniversary of the All-College Classic," said Ford in a news release. "The All-College is a fantastic event which allows our fans in the Oklahoma City area an opportunity to watch us play a great opponent, and we're pleased to be a part of it."

The All-College Classic has been played as a doubleheader format since 2001 with Oklahoma State and Oklahoma playing games against out-of-conference opponents. OU will play Cincinnati as part of the 2010 All-College Classic.

Game times have not been set. Tickets for the All-College Basketball Classic will go on sale in the fall.

The All-College Basketball Classic is the world's oldest basketball tournament, predating the NCAA, NIT, NAIA and NBA tournaments.
