He elaborated more on the Red Raiders.
"Texas Tech told me that they want me as an athlete. They said I could be used in the Wildcat, wide receiver and/or running back and on special teams as a kick/punt returner," Washington said.
"Basically I would do anything to create mismatches. That is what I like to do. Texas Tech is recruiting me the hardest right now. I love the coaching staff there and I am comfortable with them.
"Technically, you could say that it is out of Texas Tech and Oklahoma State. But Texas Tech has the edge."
Now Texas Tech has stepped up and offered as Washington sent us a text message Saturday that the Red Raiders had finally extended a scholarship offer.
"Texas Tech has offered," was the simple text from Washington, who has sent us several texts on offers.
He also recently had text us to let us know that Arizona, Boise State, and North Texas had offered adding to his list which also includes Tulsa, Colorado, Kansas State, Houston, Louisville, Memphis, Vanderbilt, and Miami.
Washington had told us that he plans on making a trip to Oklahoma State at some point during the summer but he also has other plans.
"I know for sure I am going to Texas Tech, Baylor and Texas A&M. I am also trying to go out west to the USC Rising Stars camp," Washington added in his conversation with Texas Prep Insider.
The 5-foot-9, 185-pound Washington rushed for more than 700 yards and scored eight touchdowns as a junior. He is an all-purpose back that can really fit into a wide open spread offense.
