Dylan Wynn to Visit Oklahoma State

Standout defensive end Dylan Wynn of Concord (De La Salle), Calif., is scheduled to stop off in Stillwater on Wednesday to check out the Oklahoma State football program and the campus fresh off participating in the Nebraska Cornhuskers football camp.

The 6-3, 235-pound Wynn was at Nebraska's three-day football camp and was able to meet up with his cousin and Nebraska wide receiver Todd Peterson.

As of the start of camp Wynn had not been offered by the Huskers but his 82 tackles, 36 tackles for loss, 10 sacks, and two fumble recoveries had earned him offers from Oklahoma State, Kansas State, Oregon State, San Diego State, Washington State, Ohio, and Cal-Poly. He also has recruiting interest from California, Nebraska, Notre Dame, Oregon, Penn State, and UCLA.

The Nebraska camp was his third in Lincoln but the other two were under different head coaches. His father is accompanying him to Stillwater to check out Oklahoma State.

Last season Wynn helped powerhouse De La Salle to the CIF State Open Division Championship and he earned All-EBAL Conference First Team Defense (Line), All-EBAL Conference First Team Offense (Line), All-East Bay First Team Defense, All-East Bay 1st Team Offense, All-Bay Area Metro First Team Defense, and All-North Coast Section First Team Defense.

Oddly enough, Wynn could be visiting Stillwater on a day where it becomes more certain that the Cowboys will be playing closer to Wynn's native state of California in the future in an expanded Pac-10 Conference.

We'll be checking with Wynn about his Nebraska camp and his Stillwater visit following his stop Wednesday.
