Washington On Tour In Stillwater

Running back DeAndre Washington of Fort Bend (Marshall), Texas is continuing his trips to his favorite schools. The 5-10, 190-pound speedster attended a Baylor camp in Houston recently. Washington also went to a Texas Tech camp earlier this summer, but now he and his mother and Elkins High junior-to-be Chance Allen and his mother are at Oklahoma State checking out the facilities and the campus.

Washington had said less than a month ago that Oklahoma State and Texas Tech were his top two schools but he ammended that at the Baylor camp in Houston to include OSU, Tech, Baylor and Boise State. Washington also has offers from Arizona, Colorado, Houston, Kansas State, Louisville, Memphis, North Texas, Tulsa, and Vanderbilt.

Last season Washington rushed for 694 yards and 8 touchdowns on just 91 carries. He is also a talented pass catcher.

Allen is just a junior wide receiver but is already getting attention and is listed among the top juniors this fall in Texas by the likes of Texas Football and Scout.

This spring he caught a 39-yard touchdown pass in the Knights spring game. As a sophomore he caught 23 passes for 350 yards and 4 touchdowns. He averaged just over 15 yards a reception.

The two players are getting a chance to meet and hang out with Oklahoma State players that are on campus for the summer. The pair are spending time with current OSU freshman Shaun Lewis, from Fort Bend Hightower, who is a friend of Washington's.

We will check in with Washington after he leaves campus but he has been a regular about texting and calling us when he has news with his recruitment.
