Brown Says No Change

In one of the shortest conversations that I've had with a prospect in recent memory, wide receiver and athlete LaDarius Brown of Waxahachie, Texas, said nothing has changed with him.

"No sir, nothing new going on," said the 6-2, 185-pound standout that is being recruited as both a wide receiver and a safety by a large number of schools. "I've been working out. I haven't been to any schools lately."

It was not short because Brown didn't want to talk. It was just apparent that there is not a lot of new news on his recruitment.

Brown sounded tired and we asked if we woke him up from a nap, he said, "no." Told he sounded tired and that maybe he was working too hard.

He laughed at that and said, "Maybe I have. I've been working hard."

Brown had said he planned on going to some camps this summer such as Baylor's skill camps, Texas A&M, and to Oklahoma State. Those three along with Oklahoma have been listed as his favorites although he said he has not closed the door on anyone as of yet. He also has offers from Alabama, Houston, Colorado, Kansas, Kansas State, Nebraska, TCU, and Texas Tech.

Brown has racked up most of his statistics on offense at wide receiver as he had 34 receptions for 889 yards and 9 touchdowns last season with two other touchdowns scored. As a sophomore he had 16 receptions for 509 yards and 7 touchdowns.
