Cowboy Football Notebook

After multiple Internet reports it is known that freshman middle linebacker Caleb Lavey out of Celina, Texas, was injured on the first day of full pad practices Tuesday.

Lavey injured his elbow while bracing himself on a fall. It was not a contact on contact injury. Lavey is out of practice for awhile and depending on who you talk to the injury appears serious. He was scheduled to see the Cowboys orthopedic specialist, Dr. Mark Pascale after practice on Wednesday.

NFL Scouts Attend Practice
While Urban Meyer of Florida and Nick Saban of Alabama have instituted a rule that prohibits NFL scouts from attending their practices, Oklahoma State welcomes visits from the professional teams. As a matter of fact, the Cowboy players are made aware which NFL scouts are present for each day's practice.

Scouts from the New England Patriots, Atlanta Falcons, San Francisco 49ers and Pittsburgh Steelers were in Stillwater to watch Wednesday morning's practice. The Steelers scout was none other than Pro Football Hall of Fame "Mean" Joe Greene.

Tickets On The Way
Cowboys fans that have purchased season tickets can expect their tickets to be delivered any day now. The tickets were delivered to OSU on Monday and the ticket office has turned them around and had them heading out very quickly.
