Brennan Clay Is Released From Hospital

A day after a bruising collision last night, it appears the 5-foot-11, 192 lb. freshman running back from San Diego is all right.

Clay is now back in his campus residence after being discharged from the hospital this afternoon.

"We were happy to see big smiles from Brennan this morning," Stoops said. "Everything else has checked out well."

Even though it's nothing really serious, there is still no timetable for his return, as it has yet to be determined.

Clay was injured on a 6-yard pass from quarterback Landry Jones where he made a man miss and then was crushed, causing a delay in action for several minutes.

The medical crew then mobilized him and took him off on a stretcher for further examination at the hospital.
