Miller Suffers Torn Meniscus, Out for Season

NORMAN — The Sooners suffered a major setback this week when wide receiver Dejuan Miller tore the meniscus in his right knee Tuesday in practice, sidelining him for the remainder of 2010.

According to a release by OU media relations, head athletic trainer Scott Anderson said Miller will undergo surgery and need five months for recovery.

Miller is currently fourth on the team with 15 catches, and he's third in reception yards with 199, just ahead of running back DeMarco Murray, who has 170 yards on 22 receptions.

Wide receiver Cameron Kenney will take his place, said receivers coach Jay Norvell.

Kenney is just behind Miller with nine catches for 125 yards and a touchdown.
