Dismuke Talks Sooners (Part 1)

Sooners Illustrated brings you an two part in depth interview with Scout.com three-star OT Oklahoma commitment Dylan Dismuke out of Duncan HS in Duncan, Oklahoma. Part 1 of the interview contains Dismuke talking about some of his more recent visits to Norman.

Growing up a Sooner fan and living not too far away from Norman, Dylan Dismuke has seen quite a few Oklahoma home games. He was able to catch another one when the Sooners rolled up Iowa State 52-0.

"I have been to every home game but the Air Force game," Dismuke said. "I went up there like I usually do and hung out on the field and stuff."

This time around Dismuke was able to hang out with a future teammate of his and possible roommate in Scout.com three-star offensive tackle commit Derek Farniok who was also in attendance.

"I hung out with the other tackle from South Dakota and we are probably going to end up rooming together but we will see what happens on that. I got to talk to him quite a bit because I don't get to see him or talk to him so. I was able to see how he has been doing and we watched the game and it was a lot of fun."

As well as taking in the Iowa State game Dismuke was also in attendance at the Red River Rivalry game back on October 2nd when the Sooners defeated the Texas Longhorns 28-20.

"It was my second time to go so it was kind of new but not really new. It was a blast getting to see all the people there," Dismuke stated. "And the last time I went I was probably 12 so it was a lot different from what I remember last time. The game and the crowd and all that was amazing and I couldn't wait to get out there to play."

Dismuke, who anchors the right side of the line for the Duncan Demons has been doing his part in helping his team to an undefeated 4-0 district record. The Demons overall record however stands at 5-3 due to a bunch of struggles according to Dismuke.

"It's been going alright," Dismuke said about his team's season so far. "It isn't the best that you could ask for. We have been going through a bunch of struggles. As far as for me I think it has been a pretty good season. I mean I always got to improve but I don't think I have been a letdown or anything like that."
