Overall team performance: A-
The Sooners were lethargic in the early stages, but after that, they had an energy that was really different than anything that has been seen all season thus far. Guys were crashing the boards, as they won the rebounding battle 39-26, and the team shot 50.9 percent from the field. The Sooners even got out and on the run, outscoring ORU 13-3 in the fast break department. It was a good showing all around.
G Cade Davis: A
He may not have shot the ball that well, but he racked up six rebounds, three assists, three steals and a block to go along with his 10 points. All of that came with him turning the ball over only once. And Davis was 3-for-4 from the line. That's a solid outing.
G Steven Pledger: A
Pledger also gets in the A-line with his 19 points on 6-of-11 shooting. In addition to that, he was a perfect 3-of-3 from the charity stripe, had five rebounds, three assists and a steal despite turning it over a couple of times. He knocked down four threes in six attempts.
G Cameron Clark: A+
For the second game in a row, Clark gets this mark. He's really starting to drive to the basket with a purpose, it's showing up in all phases of the game. Clark finished with 17 points, hitting 8-of-11 shots, and he brought down four boards as well as three steals, a block and an assist. He played 40 minutes in this one, so he gets a pass for having three turnovers.
G Calvin Newell: C
Newell played only three minutes after starting the game and didn't take a shot or record anything else in the scorebook besides a turnover. It's hard to assess a guy that plays this short amount of time after being in the starting lineup, so he gets an average score.
F Andrew Fitzgerald: B-
Six turnovers is entirely too much. But he did play 36 minutes and nearly net a double-double, finishing with 14 points and six rebounds. Fitzgerald had a pair of blocks to go along with that. He was 6-for-14 shooting in the contest.
The Sooner reserves were outscored 23-13 by the Golden Eagles' bench, but the impact of guard Carl Blair can't be ignored. In 37 minutes, he was an assist shy of a double-double, racking up 12 points and nine dimes. Blair also had a steal and five boards. Aside from him, forwards C.J. Washington and Nick Thompson combined for four rebounds and a point in 18 minutes.
