Overall team performance: C-
Yes, the Aggies grabbed control of this one from the beginning, and yes, it was an 18-point defeat for the Sooners. But for a large part of the game, they were within striking distance. They were down six early in the second half with a chance to cut it to four, despite not playing great ball. Also, at one point in the final 20 minutes, OU led the rebounding battle, although A&M finished with a 30-20 advantage. The main problem all day was not there, however, but just on the defensive end in general, where the Aggies outshot OU 54.3 percent to 40 percent.
G Cade Davis: B-
Davis was one of only two Sooners to finish in double figures, as he scored 13 points on 3-for-9 shooting from the field. He was a perfect 6-for-6 from the free throw line and also racked up six rebounds, an assist and a steal. The only downside from Davis, who played 36 minutes, was four turnovers.
G Steven Pledger: D+
He played 31 minutes and only produced five points and two rebounds. Pledger was 2-of-6 from the field and also had an assist and a steal, but turned it over twice. At the shooting guard position, Pledger needs to produce more for the Sooners.
G Cameron Clark: D-
Clark didn't pick up a single board in 30 minutes. He had three fouls and wasn't nearly as efficient as in recent performances, scoring only seven points on 3-for-7 shooting. Clark did contribute on a pair of assists and blocked a shot, but committed a turnover as well.
G Carl Blair: C+
He had a two-to-one turnover-assist ratio playing a game-high 38 minutes, as he racked up eight dimes to four turnovers. But he only connected on 2-of-8 shots on his way to four points and stole it away once. It wasn't a terrible outing by any stretch of the imagination, but it could have been better with improved shooting and fewer turns.
F Andrew Fitzgerald: B+
Fitzgerald led all scorers on either side with 17 points, hitting 6-for-11 from the field. He was also perfect from the free throw line, knocking down all five of his attempts from charity. Fitzgerald brought down five boards, had two steals and blocked a shot. And he stayed out of foul trouble this time around.
The Sooner reserves were outscored 23-5 by their Aggie counterparts. Only forwards C.J. Washington and Nick Thompson got in the book, as each hit a shot. Other than that, in 29 combined minutes, there was little to no production. They were out-rebounded 9-3 by the Aggie bench players and just really didn't have any impact.
