This is a battle to stay out of dead last in the conference race, as both the Sooners and Red Raiders arrive at 0-3 in the Big 12. OU dropped a pair of road games against Baylor and Texas after previously falling to Texas A&M at home for its three losses. Tech, on the other hand, fell twice at home in games against Baylor and Texas before losing at Kansas State. OU is a game better overall with one less in the loss column, at 8-9, as Tech is 8-10. The Sooners lead the series between the two programs with a 29-18 advantage.
--The Sooners lead the series by 11 thanks to a 17-6 all-time record in Norman. The Red Raiders won both games last year, though, winning 72-71 at Lloyd Noble Center and 75-65 in Lubbock.
--OU is 8-1 at home so far in the 2010-11 campaign but 0-8 on the road. And it's 61-13 at home under fifth year head coach Jeff Capel.
--Freshmen and sophomores have scored 70 percent of OU's points this year, with 89 percent doing so in the latest outing at Texas.
--Seven Sooners have led the team in scoring this year.

--Tech is shooting 44.9 percent from the field, which ranks second to last in the conference. The Red Raiders are 32.7 percent from long range, which ranks 10th, and they are 72.2 percent from charity, which ranks third. Their -4.6 rebounding margin ranks last in the league.
--They allow a league-high 75.1 points per game and rank last in defensive field goal percentage, letting opponents shoot 45.7 percent.
--Forward Mike Singletary leads the Red Raiders with 12.9 points and 5.9 rebounds per contest, while forward Brad Reese and guards John Roberson and David Tairu all average double figures in scoring, with 11.9, 11.8 and 10.2 points per game.
--This is Pat Knight's fourth year as the Tech head coach, where he owns a 45-52 record.
