The Sooners (12-9 overall, 4-3 Big 12) are the hottest they've been in two years, winners of four straight during a major turnaround, while the Cowboys (15-7 overall, 3-5 Big 12) are not so hot as of late, despite recently snapping a three-game losing streak. The two are hooking up for the first of a pair of Bedlam meetings this year.
--The Sooners have a 126-92 series advantage, including a 6-4 mark since head coach Jeff Capel took over the reins. They have swept the series three of the past five years.
--Turnovers are key. For evidence of that, consider that OU has committed only 54 of them in the four consecutive victories to 68 by their opponents. In that stretch, they've outscored opponents 67-52 in points off turnovers.
--Bench play hasn't been at a premium for the Crimson and Cream recently, as OU's starters have accounted for 36.6 minutes per game during the winning streak.
--The assist game has also been huge, as point guard Carl Blair has racked up 57 of them to only 27 turnovers in the Sooners' 12 wins.
--Just as the starters have logged most of the minutes lately, they have provided most of the scoring, all averaging 12.5 points per game or more.
Looking at the Cowboys:
--The Cowboys are not a particularly good defensive team, allowing 72.1 points per game, which places them at eighth in the league, and 40.5 percent from 3-point range, which ranks last.
--Forward Marshall Moses leads the squad with 15 points and eight rebounds per game.
--Two other players average double digits, as guard Keiton Page and small forward Jean-Paul Olukemi score 14 and 11.9 points per game, respectively.
--Head coach Travis Ford has a 60-30 overall record now in his third season.

Sooners Illustrated's Take:
OU is playing with all kinds of momentum and can take that to Stillwater and get a win if it plays well. But historically, Gallagher Iba has just been such a tough place to play. The Cowboys aren't playing well at the time, and the home court should neutralize that a bit. Even so, the Sooners should easily cover the spread, as OSU is favored by 8.5 and even 9.5 in several of the latest lines.
