For the second time this conference season, the Sooners (12-12, 4-6 Big 12) will try to snap a three-game Big 12 losing streak, although the first skid was actually longer and dated back to last season. Nevertheless, OU has a chance to end yet another losing streak, while attempting to separate itself from Nebraska and Oklahoma State in a three-way tie for eighth. The Cornhuskers (16-8, 4-6 Big 12) recently snapped a three-game skid of their own against OSU.
--OU leads the all-time series 104-82 and has won a staggering 75 percent of the 80 contests played in Norman.
--The Sooners are 11-2 at home in 2010-11 and that has been a key mark in this series over the last few years, as the home squad has won the last six.
--Guard Steven Pledger's 38 points against Iowa State is tied with Kansas State guard Jacob Pullen's recent total against Kansas for the most in a conference game this season and second only to Baylor's Lacedarius Dunn 43 for the most points in a game this year by a Big 12 player. His scoring production is pivotal, and that's evidence of it.
--The Sooners have now accumulated 189 assists to 167 turnovers in 12 victories, a key facet of their success when winning.
Looking at the Cornhuskers:
--They are unranked and winless on the road this season with an 0-5 mark despite posting a 15-1 record at home.
--The ‘Huskers rank only eighth in the league at 43.2 percent shooting from the field but are third from charity at 76.5 percent.
--They are solid defensively, though, allowing the opposition to score just 67.2 points per contest, good for third in the Big 12.
--Guard Lance Jeter leads the team in both points and assists, with 11.1 and 4.5, respectively.
--Head coach Doc Sadler is 86-66 so far in his fifth year.

Sooners Illustrated's Take:
The Sooners lost their first three conference games, two of the three of which were on the road, then they returned home and won their first conference game, part of a four-game winning streak. Again, they've lost three in a row, including two away from home, and again they'll rebound with a victory over the Nebraska Cornhuskers. OU will pull to within one game of .500 in the conference, while NU will fall below the Sooners in the Big 12 Conference standings.
