The Sooners did it behind a 27-point explosion from sophomore guard Whitney Hand, who couldn't get through the entire shoot around earlier in the day, and three Sooner double-doubles.
Sophomore center Joanna McFarland grabbed a game-high 15 boards to go along with 12 points off the bench.
And veterans, guard Danielle Robinson and forward Carlee Roethlisberger, finished with double-doubles of their own as well, as Robinson managed 18 points and 11 assists and Roethlisberger scored 14 points and collected 11 rebounds.
Because of that lethal combination, the Sooners rarely trailed.
In fact, after the teams traded the lead three times in the first five minutes, OU never fell behind again.
It used a 17-4 run to turn a five-point deficit in the opening two minutes into a double-digit lead just more than five minutes later.
The Sooners worked on that lead the rest of the first half, getting up by as much as 13 on a couple of different occasions.
After the half, though, the Hurricanes stormed back.
Just moments after the Sooners got back up by 12, Miami used an 11-1 spurt to cut the lead to just two at 57-55 with 13:21 remaining.
OU then extended it back out to 10 before the Hurricanes had their second surge.
Miami scored 15 of the game's next 22 points to again chop the Sooner advantage to a bucket with 5:45 to go.
The Hurricanes even tied it at the 3:27 mark.
But that's when the senior, Robinson, took over.
She hit a pair of free throws and converted a layup a minute later and Miami never came closer than four again in the final two minutes.
