Some of the top notched schools in the country like what they see out of Travell DixonSchools like Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Florida State and North Carolina are just a few of many that have offered Dixon.
At 6-foot-2 and 200-pounds running a 4.46 forty it's no wonder these schools want him to join their team. Back in late May Oklahoma's secondary coach, Coach Martinez decided to follow suit as well.
"It's a big time school," Dixon said about Oklahoma. "There is a whole lot of tradition behind Coach Stoops. He's a good coach and runs a good style of defense. They send a lot of people to the NFL. As a team, they win. They have been to consecutive Big 12 Championships. So all of that plays a part."
Dixon says he has never been to Norman and will have to wait and see if the Sooners make his top five after he does his research to see if he will visit or not.
At this moment in time Dixon says all the schools that have offered him are even.
"Every offer is the same so far," Dixon began. "I just want to do my research and hopefully as time progresses and I do my research on these schools then I can have a top ten or top five going into the season."
Dixon is originally from Miami (FL) so is there a possibility that he will return home to play his college ball?
"Nah," Dixon said when asked if he wants to go back to Florida. "Because me and my parents we are from an area that is rough. They don't want me being around all the trouble out there so I won't be coming home."
When Dixon goes on to play for whoever he decides to play for he will be a junior when he arrives on campus. Expect a decision to come from him late next season, Dixon says.
