OU-Texas Set for 11 A.M. Kickoff

NORMAN, Okla. -- The Sooners and Longhorns will battle it out in the annual Red River Rivalry game at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 8, 2011, as the telecast schedule was announced Wednesday afternoon.

The two are set for a full national telecast, an exclusive one on ABC.

It will once again take place in the Cotton Bowl at Dallas, the host site for every OU-Texas contest dating back to 1929.

OU is attempting to win its second straight against UT after a 28-20 triumph in 2010.

And the game is the fifth of the year for the Sooners, who play at Oklahoma Memorial Stadium three of the first four games.

Several other game times have already been announced.

OU will open the season on Sept. 3 with a 7 p.m. CT kickoff against Tulsa.

On Sept. 17, the Sooners face Florida State in Tallahassee, Fla., at 6:30 or 7 p.m. CT and a week later return to Norman for a meeting with Missouri at 7 p.m.

They host Iowa State at 7 p.m. CT on Nov. 26 before capping off the regular season with a Dec. 3 trip to Stillwater, Okla., to face the Oklahoma State Cowboys at either 2:30 or 7 p.m.
