Offensive Countdown: Top 15 Extra

Sooners Illustrated has been rolling on with the countdown of the most important offensive players for two weeks, so now it's time to present an extra on the list.

Top 15 Extra:

Player: Jaz Reynolds

Position: Backup wide receiver

The rundown: Reynolds was suspended indefinitely last year after comments he made on Twitter following a shooting on the University of Texas campus. Now, he's back on the first preseason depth chart. The 6-foot-2, 198-pound receiver from Houston got there because of a good off-season and solid Spring Game performance. Reynolds had four catches for a game-high 67 receiving yards on that day.

Expectations for 2011: Barring any more controversial comments, Reynolds will be back in the rotation, as he is behind DeJuan Miller on the depth chart. With all the talent in this receiving corps, Reynolds really has the opportunity to elevate it to the next level if he can provide some consistency to make it five or six deep instead of four. Don't necessarily look for huge numbers--those will obviously come from Ryan Broyles and Kenny Stills--but plan for a solid reserve receiver that can make some plays when the ball comes his way.
