RECRUITING: OU interested in Florida WR

Immokalee, Fla. wide receiver McIntosh Nicholas stars shines on both sides of the ball

His friends call him 'Mac' and defenses call him trouble as he is one of the best pure athletes in the state of Florida. 'Mac' lettered as a freshman and has been a starter ever since who plays primarily as a receiver, but in tough passing downs he moves into the secondary.

Nicholas wasn't sure of his stats, but says he averaged four catches per game and close to 90 yards per game. On defense Nicholas finished with three interceptions, all coming early in the season as teams quit throwing to his side of the field.

Nicholas can bench 275 pounds, squats 400 and he runs track (100M/10.32; 200M/21.6) and starts in hoops (15 ppg). Last year Nicholas camped at South Florida and this year Immokalee plans to go back to the team camp at South Florida.

Thus far Nicholas has been offered by Michigan State, Wisconsin and South Florida, but he has an interest in several schools.

"I like Michigan, Michigan State, Florida and South Florida thus far, but I am trying to keep my options open," said Nicholas. "I have also heard from Oklahoma, but at this point I haven't received to much information from them."

Nicholas says he has qualified.
