His decision on where he will play his college ball will not be known until January 7th of next year at the Army All-American game but Nance is beginning to narrow down his choices. Holding multiple offers from some of the top programs in the country, Nance has got it narrowed down to a top three.
Nance says he will definitely be taking officials to all three and is still trying to figure out the other two visits he will take but says the Bears, Sooners and Trojans are his main focus.
"Their coaching staffs, they treat me like family, they treat me just like they treat me here. They're honest with me and tell me if I'm going to play or not. Just the people on the team, they are all terrific," Nance said.
Last season Nance had a monster year finishing with 175-tackles, five-interceptions with three going back for touchdowns, and two-sacks. This year he is having to wait to get back out on the field while rehabbing his knee but is only a few weeks away from getting back out on the field on Friday nights.
Out of his top three schools Nance says none of them lead over the other but says later on this year he plans to have a favorite.
"I don't have any favorites right now but middle of the season I will have a favorite," Nance stated.
Nance says he has just been staying focused on his grades and taking care of business in the class room. His relationship with the coaching staffs will play a major factor in his decision. When asked what coaching staff he has the best relationship with Nance said it was Oklahoma but now Baylor has taken over that spot at this time.
The Sooners are right in the thick of things with a little more than four months left to go until Nance announces his decision. Stay with Sooners Illustrated for more on Nance.
