It's becoming a habit for the Oklahoma women's softball team to spend a week in May at the Women's College World Series in Oklahoma City.
Oklahoma Head Coach Patty Gasso's Sooners ensured that would happen again this year by clinching a berth in their fourth straight Women's College World Series on Sunday.
The Sooners advanced to this weeks WCWS with a 7-2 win over Oregon State at the NCAA Region Four Championships in Gainesville, Fla.
Oklahoma will be the fourth-seed in this years WCWS and will play fifth-seeded Washington in the first round on Thursday at 1 p.m. at the Don Porter ASA Hall of Fame Stadium in Oklahoma City.
If the Sooners win their first round game they would play the Arizona/Alabama winner at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. If they lose they would play the Arizona/Alabama loser Friday morning at 11 a.m.
See below for the Thursday's other first round pairings.
