RECRUITING: Tulsa WR still wants to evaluate OU

Tulsa Washington two-sport star Quentin Chaney talks recruiting and about his interest in Oklahoma

JH: Have you grown any since we last talked?

QC: "I probably weigh 205 right now and I was timed in the 4.5 range the other day."

JH: Are you still getting more offers in football than basketball?

QC: "Yes, it is kind of strange because I am working hard on my basketball game right now. I am working so hard in basketball right, but most of my recruiting attention is coming in football."

JH: How many offers do you have right now?

QC: "I have around 10 to 11 offers in football and I haven't received any in basketball yet, but I still think I will."

JH: Do you have any favorites at this time?

QC: "I don't really have any favorite teams in football right now. I am staying open right now. I have been offered by Texas A&M, OU, OSU, Colorado, Missouri, Tulsa, Southern California and Kansas."

JH: What do you think about Oklahoma?

QC: "I like the school personally, and I wouldn't mind going there. However, I have to see how things go for their receivers next year — not necessarily how many catches they come up with, but just how they are used and in what fashion. I want to see if, and this goes for every school really, they will pass the ball like they say they will. I want to go to a program that can really use me and I have to figure out which schools can use me the most. OU will be in the mix, but I have to figure in those things when I think about them as well."

JH: You play on the top AAU basketball team in Oklahoma, so how is you summer hoops going?

QC: "Our first tournament is this weekend and we travel to Indiana for a tournament. We have a pretty good team and have some pretty good depth. In our second game of the tournament we should play the fourth ranked team in the country. Right now we are ranked 14th and we are looking forward to playing them."
