RECRUITING: Strong talks about trip to Norman

Sooners make Austin receiver feel at home in Norman, but was it enough to pull him away from Texas

FRED STRONG, WR, 6-2, 190, 4.4, AUSTIN, TEXAS:

JH: You attended the OU football camp today, so how did you enjoy the camp?

FS: "It was fun and I had a great time. They made me feel like I was at home. Coach Bobby Jack Wright and Coach Darrell Wyatt let me meet their family and that was very special. They actually took me by their house and let me meet their real family and then told me that I could be a part of their family if I came to OU."

JH: You visited Texas on Sunday and now the Sooner today. so do you have any idea where you want to go to school?

FS: "I have no clue yet at this time."

JH: Are you any closer to committing to either school after the last three days?

FS: "No, not really. I think I am going to keep it wide open until I visit with everybody. Then after taking some visits I will sit down with my family and make my decision."

JH: So you won't make a decision until after you take visits in the fall?

FS: "Yes, I think that I will, but I don't know how many at this time."

JH: What did you think of your time at the Texas camp?

FS: "I had a nice time and the camp was real fun. I got to know everybody a little bit better. I met Nathan Jones last year and we become pretty cool to one another. I met Jordan Shipley and he was cool, and I met this guy from Ennis, Texas, and he was a neat guy. I had a great time going up against Ramonce Taylor of Belton, Texas, and that was a lot of fun. The quarterbacks were throwing the ball too late, so we didn't come up with a lot of receptions."

JH: So, you are saying that you really don't know where you are going at this time? Do Texas and Oklahoma stand out?

FS: "I have no clue, because I am still wide open right now. I would say both are fairly even."

JH: Has Texas offered you?

FS: No, they still haven't offered me."

JH: Would you say if you have a leader at this time?

FS: "Not really, but this is one of the most important decisions of my life. I am just trying to make sure that I make the right decision."
