CYRIL OBIOZOR, DE, 6'4, 240, 4.6, PEARLAND, TEXAS:
Obiozor is a unique talent who brings great balance, strength and quickness to the defensive end position. Heading into this season Obiozor will be a three-year starter who came up with seven sacks, 61 tackles with 33 solos.
"I get the best of my opponent because of my quickness and size," said Obiozor. "Most guys I play against aren't used to a player my size, being able to move as quick as I can."
Obiozor can bench 310 pounds, squats 425 and he had a vertical jump of 31 1/2 at the NIKE camp in College Station. Obiozor hasn't gone to any other camps this summer and he is not sure that he will. Obiozor throws the discus (165) and runs the 300M high hurdles.
Obiozor has been offered by UCLA, Oklahoma State, Pittsburgh, Missouri, Texas A&M and Houston, but he is considering many other schools as well.
"I really like Oklahoma, Texas and Florida State right now, but I am waiting to see what they want to do with me," said Obiozor. "I really like Oklahoma and their athletic program. I also really like Florida State, and I would say they are my favorite school right now. However, I really don't know what will happen when all is said and done."
Obiozor has already qualified.
